Ice Skating

On Friday afternoon we went ice skating at The Galavan Center downtown with our friends Liz and Curt. It was a lot of fun once you got the hang of it, we would like to keep going and do it a couple more times.

On a side note, I also went this weekend and took out my endowments at the Oquirrh Mountain temple. It was amazing and I loved it. We are super excited for our sealing next Saturday. :)

New Blog! And a little bit of an update!

Long time no see! :) We started the year off with a bang. Marc had 2 business trips in January both being a week long, which gave me some extra time to start a new hobby. Thats right, I've picked up sewing. And on top of sewing that means I also had to start a company called Bug-La-Boo which is how I will sell all the stuff I sew so that I dont drown in it all. :) So if ya wanna swing by the new blog site is....

Obviously I dont have anything posted there now except a couple pictures but as I get things sewn and get pictures taken I will slowly add to it and get it up and going. But add it, give it words of encouragement (cause we all know Im going to need them!).

Other than that I've just been going to school in the evenings, this semester Im only doing 1 class, PSY 1100, which translates to Human Growth and Development. Its actually a very interesting class and Im really enjoying it.

We did finally get a temple date, we will be going through the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on February 11th. So excited! Marc has his priesthood restored last week and we finally feel like we are reaching a big goal in our lives and marriage. :)

Marc keeps busy with work, hes loving being able to do some marketing and designing some packaging for the new company hes working for. He just rearranged our garage (told ya the home rennovations being done wouldnt last long!) and we moved the dogs out to the garage so that I could have a craft room and we could finally designate a guest room/nursery in the 3rd bedroom.

We decided a couple months ago that we wanted to try out The Dirty Dash. Our friend Teresa had already signed up for it and was putting together a team so we just joined their team. I somehow bribed Marc into doing it with me, and im glad I did because he LOVED it and wants to do it every year now. It was so much fun that you didnt even realize that you were in fact running 6.2 miles. Haha. We plan on doing a team again next year and doing it every year. We were pretty sore and feeling it the next day but thats ok because we really enjoyed ourselves. :)

We decided to take a little 3 day weekend get away to our cabin in Island Park with our friends Dan and Teresa. We had alot of fun. Friday it rained most of the day so we bummed around the cabin and watched movies and played games. Saturday we went down into West Yellowstone and got some lunch and did a little shopping. When we got back we went fourwheeling then let the boys do some fishing. We headed home Sunday morning. It was fun and nice to just get away for a couple days. :)

Yay! We are FINALLY DONE with home renovations. We just had new carpet installed and finally can kick back and just enjoy our house. :) Heres some pics!

This is our Guest Bedroom/Potential Nursery (No this is not an announcement). We painted it half brown half white then Marc just ran a chair rail around the middle. The carpet pulls it all together perfectly.This is the dogs room. Hence the dog in there already sniffing it out.

And the best part is the stairs. Their so soft. :)

Marc surprised me a couple weeks ago with Sugarland tickets. He wasnt really wanting to go but he knew that I really wanted to go. He told me after he was so glad he went and really enjoyed it. It was super windy that night so we kinda got blown all over the place but it was still alot of fun. :)

Other than this fun stuff were just keeping busy. Were both working and I just started school on Wed night. Im taking a computer class, math class, and english class. We'll see how it goes, its so hard to go for a semester, take a semester off, then go back again for a semester.

Were getting ready to do the Dirty Dash in Soldier Hollow at the end of September and then I have another 10k called Love Your Body in October. I love running. :)

NERD cupcakes

These cupcakes make me smile. I have a tendancy to be drawn to multicolored things. And these make the list. :) And guess what? Theres even a recipe for them, if your drawn to them like me. :) This is a blog that I follow frequently and love her sense of humor and the things she makes and then shares. Vegas Trip

Back around Easter we went to Vegas and stayed with our friends Travis and Elissa. This was my first time being in Vegas. :) We caught up with our friends Jimmy, Dezaree, Colton, and Brooke, who were also out there at the same time we were too and we saw Phantom of the Opera and ate at a steakhouse for dinner with them.

Got some extra time in before I go back to work next week so I figured Id let ya everyone in on what were doing! :) We kicked off the summer with the Christiansen family reunion.

Then we took off to the cabin for 9 days in Yellowstone, we were able to take the dogs with us and they loved it. I think they kind of started to think that was where we were gonna live. Haha.

Marc has been keeping busy with his new job at Clear Protector, hes been signing up lots of new vendors and clients. :) He just got a new calling in church as the Ward Employment Specialist and is excited to start working at that.

As for me, Im going back to work next week, after being off for my 3 week "summer break". Im also going back to school, again, at the end of August. Im taking a math class, english class, and a computer class. Hopefully I can stick it out this time, I only have 3 semesters left to go.

We are planning on going through the temple towards the end of the year. We just cant decide which one.......
